Entering a trade

Four entries from earliest to safest. Each one has a setup, a trigger, an order, a stop, a size and the reasons to skip it.

Four entries, one move

Every entry below aims at the same move. The earlier you get in, the better the price and the closer the stop, but the less proof you have that the turn is real. Pick the entry that matches the quality of the setup, not the one that feels most exciting.

1 · At the cycle turn

Highest risk. Best price, least confirmation.

Setup
Higher timeframe rising and graded Strong or Confirmed. Your dominant cycle is Strong or Confirmed. Position shows ● Trough due, and the Turn Zone is +5 or more.
Trigger
The cycle wave in the pane makes its low and turns up, and the Cycle RSI turns up from its lower band. Wait for that bar to close.
Order
Market at the next bar’s open.
Stop
Just below the lowest low of the turn.
Size
Half of your base risk.
Skip if
Price is still making new lows, the higher timeframe is falling, or the ● expected troughs of the three cycles are spread far apart.

In CyclesX

Only the panel and pane confirm this entry. No FLD has been crossed yet, so the indicator shows no signal.

2 · Early crossing

Higher risk. Price has started to turn.

Setup
Higher timeframe rising, graded Developing or better. Your cycle is Developing or better, and Position is near a trough or just past it.
Trigger
A bar closes above the shortest cycle’s FLD (green). Wicks do not count.
Order
Market at the next open, or a limit back at the green FLD level.
Stop
Below the trough before the crossing.
Size
Three quarters of your base risk.
Skip if
Price is still below both other FLDs and the higher timeframe is only Developing, or the crossing bar is very large and the stop would be far away.

In CyclesX

Set FLD lines to All three to see the green FLD. The × marks show each crossing.

3 · Standard

Medium risk. The main CyclesX signal.

Setup
Higher timeframe points your way. Your dominant cycle is Developing or better.
Trigger
A bar closes above the trade cycle’s FLD and the crossing holds for the confirmation bars. The 🚦 Signal row shows LONG with its grade.
Order
Market at the close that confirms the signal, or a limit at the FLD level (Entry setting).
Stop
At the trough before the crossing. CyclesX draws it as a red line.
Size
By grade: A full base risk, B three quarters, C half. Shown in the trade table.
Skip if
The FLD target points against the cycle wave, the target is due well after the next cycle peak, or reward:risk is below your minimum.

In CyclesX

Alerts: set one for LONG or SHORT grade A or B so you hear about it without watching the chart.

4 · Conservative

Lowest risk. Full agreement first.

Setup
Any higher timeframe grade, as long as it points your way.
Trigger
A bar closes above all three FLDs. The 🧭 Bigger trend row reads Up.
Order
Market at the next open, or a limit at the trade cycle’s FLD on the first pullback.
Stop
Below the trade cycle’s FLD, or below the trough before the crossing if that is closer.
Size
Full base risk.
Skip if
Most of the move to the FLD target is already done. If less than half the distance is left, wait for the next setup.

In CyclesX

Set FLD lines to All three, then check that price is above every line.

Adding to a position

You can combine entries. Start small at an early entry, then add at the Standard signal and again at the Conservative entry. Keep the total risk within one full base risk, and move the stop on the first part up as you add.
